The LUX Education and professional development programme aims to support and provide access to the discourse around artists’ moving image practice as well as provide direct support for artists.
Current LUX Education and Professional Development Activities
Mres Art: Moving Image. A collaborative research masters course delivered in partnership with Central Saint Martins School of Art.
Evening Courses. A rolling series of evening classes exploring critical histories of artists’ moving image practice from different perspectives.
Outreach Programme. LUX organises and presents talks, artists’ workshops and screenings for schools and higher education institutions on all aspects of artists’ moving image practice.
LUX Associate Artists Programme. A year-long post-academic programme for artists who work with the moving image.
One-on-One Artists’ Advice Sessions. Monthly free advice sessions for artists at the LUX offices in London and across the UK in collaboration with regional partner organisations.
LUX Critical Forum. A monthly peer-led critical discussion group for artists who work with the moving image.
Professional Practice. An ongoing series of talks, workshops and courses exploring practical issues of concern to artists working with the moving image.
