This year is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, author of On The Origin of Species and pioneer of the theory of evolution. The anniversary has been widely marked around the world, with both celebrations and reassessments of Darwin’s life and work. Along with the many documentary highlights, a number of museums and galleries are staging interesting exhibitions inspired by Darwin. We thought it would be nice to highlight a couple of recent films from the LUX collection which, in one way or another, have tackled Darwin’s complex legacy.
