Using a similar monologue-to-camera style as Lenny's Documentary (1978),B.29 features the verbal ramblings of Phil, ''a bit of a stay at home'' whospends his evenings constructing a model kit of a Flying Fortress bomber.

As the kit is slowly assembled Phil recounts failed relationships and hisdealings with his work mates at the bandage factory. The building of thekit becomes a metaphor for his attempts to rebuild a shattered ego.

Phil is a time bomb waiting to go off.
